The walks

Our walks are led by Blue Mountains local, Katherine Hallam (owner of Blue Mountains Tracks and Retreats). Katherine has lived in the Blue Mountains since she was 3 years old and on most weekends can be found wandering along one of the many beautiful tracks the Blue Mountains has on offer.

Our walks will take you past not only the most famous areas of the Blue Mountains, but beyond, to lush temperate rainforest areas, stands of huge eucalyptus trees, past big and small waterfalls, hidden grottos and under spectacular sandstone cliffs.

Although our walks are graded Moderate to Easy, you will still need to be comfortable with walking up and down lots of steps, over rough and uneven ground, and sometimes metal staircases that have significant drops below them. Distances range from 6 to 12 kilometres per walk. We never leave established walking routes and Katherine always carries a Personal Locator Beacon (which has thankfully never had to be used). Katherine is also a Registered Nurse and has a First Aid Certificate.

Photos of places visited on our walks are below, to give you an idea of whether they are right for you.

We can customise the walks to what you want, if you are booking a private weekend (minimum 8 people for weekends including yoga, or minimum of 5 people for walking only weekends).
