This weekend of walking includes two nights of 4 star accommodation at the iconic Carrington Hotel*, two breakfasts, two lunches, guided walks including a night-lit walk, a welcome cocktail or mocktail, transport to and from the walks, and a goodie bag. *On occasions an alternative hotel or guest house may be used, of an equal standard.
Walks will be approximately 11 km (5 hours) on the Saturday and and 8 km (4 hours) on the Sunday. As well as walking the full Grand Cliff Top Walk, we add in a few side tracks to spectacular waterfalls, so you can experience even more of this beautiful place. The walks involve many steps up and down and we walk for approximately 4 to 5 hours each day. You only need to carry your own jacket and water.
Prices are $700 per person twin share (two people in one room, choose one or two beds – must be someone you know, we are unable to match you up with anyone, sorry) or $990 for a room to yourself. Please note, for the weekend on August 22 – 24, 2025, the price is higher due to us staying at the Fairmont Resort that weekend. Maximum group size is ten.
The walks are graded as moderate. Although the path mainly runs along the top of the cliff line, it does undulate up and down, and on three occasions we briefly leave the main path to visit some beautiful waterfalls. To enjoy this weekend, you should be comfortable with walking up and down many steps. We walk at a relaxed and steady pace, so everyone has time to enjoy the surroundings and catch their breath if need be. The beauty is in the detail!
If you are flying into and out of Sydney for this weekend, please do not book flights on the Sunday evening any earlier than 8 pm – we will aim to have you back at the hotel in Katoomba by 3 pm at the latest, on the Sunday. It is approximately 2.5 hours by train from Katoomba to the airport. We can arrange an extra night’s accommodation for you if you need this.
